Hybrid Electro-Optic Connectors

DGO Electro-Optic Connectors

Teledyne D.G.O’Brien, Inc. Electro-Optic Connectors are designed for use in hostile environments where reliability is crucial. Using Military Specifications Mil-C-24217 as a guide, we have combined the ruggedness and high pressure tolerance of this connector specification with a combination of optical and electrical channels to provide the user with extensive design flexibility.

These Electro-Optic Connectors are available in a variety of configurations including, three-fiber 10#16 AWG and four-fiber 8#16 AWG configurations within 2 ½-inch diameter receptacle. This same shell could accommodate up to six optical fibers. Shells are provided in SST and can be configure in a variety of mounting configurations including weld flange, SAE port, flanged bolted, and locknut styles. Electro-optic cable terminations can accommodate armored or Kevlar reinforced fibers or loose buffered fibers with a SST tube strength member.

  • Positive pressure barriers to 10,000 psig
  • Single and multi-mode fibers
  • 1 -15 Channels
  • Insertion loss less than 1.0 dB
  • Return loss less then -25 dB
  • Electric/Optic Combination
  • Pressure-Balanced Oil-Filled Assemblies

Can you adapt an existing product?

Talk to a Teledyne D.G.O’Brien customer support representative to determine whether a catalog product may meet your needs. If so, we can fulfill your request quickly. If not, we can adapt an existing product to be perfect for your application.

Since 1962, we have developed and built thousands of products - as a result we have many standard products to choose from. We can help you identify which of these products will work best for you. If these standard products do not fit your specifications, we will adapt a previously proven design in order to meet your requirments.
