Field Installable Testable Assemblies

Teledyne D.G.O’Brien Field Installable Connectors (FITA)

From the North Sea to the depths of the Marianas Trench, and in high-temperature gas wells running 20,000 feet below the earth's surface, Teledyne D.G.O’Brien's Field-Installable and Testable Assembly (FITA) design has proven 100 percent reliable. Since its development in 1976 there has never been a failure of the conductor level seal to the contact insert and conductor insulations. No other company can match this record.

Teledyne D.G.O’Brien FITA termination is the only product in the industry that can be hydrostatically field-tested immediately prior to deployment. The patented boot seal arrangement (with up to three additional seal levels over the FIA design) and a special contact insert prevent fluids from reaching the connector interface. FITA is available in any configuration and for pressure rations in excess of 20,000 psi and temperatures over 400ºF.

Teledyne D.G.O’Brien designs and manufactures a range of FITA connectors. They are supplied to customers who have requirements where cables and umbilical need to be terminated on site or offshore.

We can provide custom designs to accommodate conductor sizes and cable diameters.

  • All designs utilize Boot Sealing Technology to enable ease of installations.
  • All connectors, when built, have the ability to be tested on site.
  • Designed for cable-to-bulkhead receptacle and cable-to-cable connections
  • Wet-make option available for underwater mating.
  • Patented pressure-compensated option eliminates differential pressure across seals.
