Electrical penetration assemblies (EPA's) for nuclear and conventional power generation
Nuclear power generation demands absolute reliability from its technologies. Teledyne D.G.O’Brien has extensive experience providing penetrators and feedthrough systems for nuclear power facilities.
Our products accomplish two primary objectives for our customers:
- Provide totally inorganic pressure barriers that are not subject to degradation from long-term exposure to radiation.
- Provide the lowest possible installed cost for the end customer.
To accomplish these objectives, we use glass-to-metal sealing technology in our EPA's and build a connector interface on both sides of the containment penetration. This "connectorized approach" saves significant time and money by reducing cable splicing during construction.
Teledyne D.G.O’Brien designs have been qualified to IEEE-317 requirements. They've proven to be extremely reliable connection systems for the 13-plus commercial nuclear power plants outfitted with Teledyne D.G.O’Brien EPA's.
