Fiber optic connectors for hull penetrators, oceanographic equipment, seismic tow cables and subsea control systems

Fiber optic capabilities have been a key Teledyne D.G.O’Brien focus since 1985


Fiber optics offer a host of performance advantages, among them increased bandwidth, secure data transmissions, decreased cable size and weight, and immunity to electromagnetic and radio frequency interference. However, fiber optics won't be reliable in demanding environments without special expertise. That's where Teledyne D.G.O’Brien excels.

Teledyne D.G.O’Brien designs fiber optic products that have proven to be every bit as reliable and robust as electrical systems. We've developed solutions for everything from 8.3/125 µm single-mode to 100/140 µm multimode fiber. We've integrated as many as 15 fiber optic channels in a single MIL-C24231 connection, up to 122 fiber optic channels in a hull penetrator assembly, and over 200 PC terminations.

Electro-optical solutions, too

Teledyne D.G.O’Brien engineers have developed electro-optic products which integrate optics into deep submergence connector packages that withstand up to 10,000 psig.
